Why should I suddenly 'quit' being interested in a franchise since the very beginning just because a couple of generations have been a bit on the lackluster side and GameFreak constantly dorks about?

I'm in it mainly for the mons, characters, and other aspects tied to the world itself. My interest is in the various designs and all that jazz. The games themselves are just a part of it.

Oh Anon, don't be silly. I DO want good games. I would absolutely love it if GameFreak made something amazing and was able to put everything they could into producing a spectacular product that managed to blow everything else out of the water.

But why should I let the current issues keep me from being able to enjoy the various Pokemon, characters, and region/world designs and aspects?
