Whatever else you think about Gen 5, it had some cool features that we haven't seen since, like medals and seasons. I also thought having only new Pokemon in B/W made for a fresh and fun experience

Medals were kind of gay. Maybe if you didn't have to talk to the medal guys in order to get them and then he just dumps a ton of them on you all at once they'd be better. But the way they were implemented in Gen V was lame.
