Girls usually know better than to want "a bf" unless they've never been hit on. Girls are constantly harassed by creeps, sometimes with the mentality of "yay I have a boyfriend" they get beaten up most of the time. And before you say "BUT I WOULD NEVER BEAT HER", I will say, as a paranoid as balls girl, that I've tried the mentality of "oh but he's nice and he's never had a gf" and all I got was getting stuck in a car with a pokétard obese "nice" guy that was literally trying to force himself on me.

>TL;DR: think "I want to meet this person and build a relationship with them slowly" rather than "want gf" (=don't wanna be alone)because heck, if you just want someone for the sake of having someone, you'll most likely end up abused, manipulated, etc (yes this happens to guys too).
