There were 20 Meltan total in the last episode, but only 19 in this box in the preview of the new episode. So 19 are getting sent to KANTOOOOOOO for Oak, while #20 is staying in ARORA.

We knew that already. There are 20 Meltan total. In SM111, there were 2 groups of 10 Meltan. Group 1 (which features the Meltan that bonded with Rowlet) had 10 and they went to the school. Group 2 also had 10 and went to Bewear's den. At the end of the episode, the 19 Meltan converge and troll with Clefable in the Pokemon School. Group 1 had 9 Meltan. Group 2 had 10. The Meltan that stayed with Rrowlet is by itself.

So yes, there are 19 Meltan here. The 20th is staying with Ash.
