So ? Where did all or this go in Gen 7 ? We saw a lot of this stuff when they were teasing Gen 7, why giving up on such concept ? Wasted material ? Did it end up in the anime ?

It's really saddening. Like, you see Pokémon being used for things people IRL use technology for, and just using technology as expected, AND you see a general theme of "the harmony of people/technology and nature", but then they seem to struggle with the last step of "using both to accomplish tasks where one might not be enough".
