-2 Professors/Brothers: Both have different ideals based off of defense and offense. Each give you a starter Pokémon.
-The first professor you meet gives you Gen 8 starter.
-The second professor- you’ll meet shortly into the game gives you a starter from Johto.
-There is 96 new Pokémon. 3 legendaries. 3 mythical.
-Starters have very interesting final typings.
-No new types.
-Two new fossil pokemon:
Saber Tooth Tiger Rock/Electric & Mastodon Rock/Ground
-Eevee has two a new Evolution: Steel.
-Wizardry and folklore dominate new characters and Pokémon. There is a lot of association with sports too- mainly football.
-There are 24 new Megas.
To name some: Johto Starters, Crobat, Ursaring, Bronzong, Froslass, Gigalith, Excadrill, Conkeldurr, Krookodile, Klinklang, and Aegislash.
Also: Aegislash = Lucario.
-There is 15 new Regional Variants from Johto.
-A few: Sentret/Furret, Natu/Xatu, Slowking, Girafarig, & Slugma/Magcargo.
Slugma looks like melting steel.
-A whole village with a gym is underground.
-There is no Pokémon Go interaction
-The Pokédex is separated into 3 areas, there is no national dex though.
-Out of the now 905 Pokémon, you can catch just shy of 700 within the region.
-Dugtrio plays a special role in the games.
-A helmeted wolf is a mythical Pokémon that “guards” the region.
-There is a clock Pokémon that evolves once into a grandfather clock, an elf Pokémon that does not evolve, and a narwhale and a unicorn that are game variant pseudo legendaries.
-No ultra beasts.
-Pokémon do not follow you, this will continue on with the Let’s Go series though.
-Battling the Elite 4 and Champion is actually in a stadium.
-Post game you’ll get to battle many familiar faces.
-The evil team leader is trying to catch the box legendary to use them to destroy a close region that he left years ago. They have the other box legendary that you will battle once you are able to catch the box legendary of your box and will try to steal it from you
