There's zero reason to buy it just for mew when lgpe doesn't even have bank compatibility. They could have easily let players transfer mews from go but made that impossible for no reason.

The reason they made the pokeball plus in the first place wasn't for mew

It's so stupid kids can finally be like mom look a pokeball it works.

Since most players are in their 20s and 30s they wouldn't buy it. It's useless. Besides making it for a one off game, they designed it like the old Pokemon HG/SS toy

Anon you're missing the entire fucking point of the controller. You view the controller as this worthless box that has a Mew and offers nothing else of note but it's not. It's a fully functional controller for the Let's Go games that has sounds and interactive functions with the game. It comes with Mew as a bonus but no one should buy it JUST for fucking Mew. I didn't buy it personally because I didn't buy LGPE either. It's also not made for me. It's not made for you. It's a 6 year old to interact better with the game. You toss the ball at the TV and then it makes sounds and works like you really caught it. Perfect kid toy.

They don't or they wait for a different distribution. LGPE isn't likely to allow you to transfer to the main games since it structures stats differently anyway so it'd be stuck there away from the rest of your collection anyway. It's not like Mew isn't one of the most redistributed Mythicals. It gets them pretty regularly for free if you don't have one.

No Mythical Pokemon has ever been exclusive to Japan in its debut generation. Celebi was distributed in the US, Canada, Australia, and a bunch of European countries in gen II.

Which is entirely superficial and can be easily scrapped from the Pokémon upon transfer. Otherwise any Pokémon in LGPE is identical to standard Pokémon games. Even the ability is just dummied out.

Remakes let you obtain every Pokemon in the generation it was created in, besides LGPE.
FRLG had all Pokemon in Gen 3 available in some form
HGSS had all Pokemon in Gen 4 available
ORAS had all Pokemon in Gen 6 available
Hell, LGPE even has Meltan and Melmetal, along with Alolan forms.

And guess what? The only time an Event Pokemon wasn't an Event in those games was Deoxys. Otherwise Mew has always been hidden behind an event or paywall. You can't even get Meltan or Melmetal right now without a smartphone that can play Go which is far more expensive then a controller.

Sega tried to sell something that's always been free and got called out on it, Gamefreak tried to sell a literal toy for five year olds that does actual things for the game with a Pokemon that has almost never been truly free and has already been stuck behind paywalls before (Pokemon Bank, Pokemon Ranch).

I just wanted a special ribbon on my Unova Pokemon commemorating that they beat the Kanto league, but seeing that Gamefreak remade the Kanto games without having any sort of connectivity with the mainline games, I'll never have a ribbon like that on them. Honestly I hope we don't get anything Kanto related until at least the 40th anniversary. After stuff like origins, Alolan forms, LGPE, and the like the Kanto fatigue is really killing me. It also kills me that Unova itself didn't offer a league ribbon either.

Not a chance. Apart from Let's Go Johto having a guaranteed Kanto post-game, I wouldn't be surprised if they do a legit Kanto or Johto + Kanto remake or ideally, sequel some time in the next 10 years.

Actually Mew was locked behind a paywall on one other occasion, you had to pay $10 for My Pokemon Ranch and then catch 1000 Pokemon just to get the thing. The thing was originally meant as extra storage but the purpose became pointless when you had to basically max out your storage space to get a special Kew, so most people just stored shitmons that they caught to get it.
