>>37890884Honestly there needs to be a wind type.
I hate that everything with wings or floats is immediately shoved into the flying category in terms of:
typical winged creature weaknesses
typical winged creature behaviour and physiology
being a pinpoint ""target""
bird fragility
It's a meme, really.
Yes, flying types should be able to harness wind as a type, but defensively it should be separated from just being another winged creature that feasts on bugs and berries.
Flying type should lose its advantage to fighting types, instead wind beats fighting and flying beats wind (in terms of being able to harness the wind and overcome it). Obviously wind would have to be weak to fire and likely poison in terms of pollution. Though, I really hate the idea of buffing fire offensively again.
Flying type moves should be reserved for specifc attacks like actually using wings, actually using feathers, actually using beaks, actually using talons etc. Unfortunately bug and grass may still end up with the short end of the stick and another weakness - but instead maybe flying specifically should hurt grass/bug on the grounds that most ""birds"" eat berries and bugs but wind doesn't always destroy plants, considering wind destroys constructs too it wouldn't be fair to single out grass types, im fact due to rooting I'd say grass types should be RESILIENT to wind based attacks and possibly bugs as well.
The only other type I'd suggest is separating light from fairy. But in all things light is either: heat energy or defined by positivity "light at the end of the tunnel", "light hearted", "holy light".
SO really that's just a rename of fairy and that's dumb.
