Being alien doesn't give you anything. For one species all other are aliens, we are aliens. Cosmic type is based on acquiring paranormal knowledge.

Simply being a bug is enough for a bug type, why cant it be the same for the cosmic type? Alien would refer to anything not from our planet or dimension. I fail to see why that should be lumped into the paranormal category. Doesnt paranormal encompass ghosts and demons?

Bugs are consisted within the group. Aliens are not since everything can be alien depending from the point of view.
Or if alien meaning beings with advanced technology which acknowledged laws of universe.

I see it like this:
Psychic: mind - super intelligence and mental awareness
Dark: evil - pragmatism, trickster or vicious
Fairy: magic - folkloric, hidden in nature, protectors of peace
Ghost: dead - shadows, demons and possessions

The distinction is that Aliens are not of this world, from another dimension, unfamiliar. Anything from our planet cant be considered alien to us since its from our planet

Why is that? There are already a lot simpler explanations for already existing types. It wouldnt be limited to just inter dimensional beings. It would encompass all things space like celestial bodies, energy, and aliens obviously
