>>37904256>Insufferable would mean they can't do anything right, and they can.No, "insufferable" would mean that they're annoying or obnoxious. I personally didn't mind them, though.
>And that OC made it into the games.Doesn't make it any less cliche or cringe-inducing.
>Ash deserves recognition. The problem is that nearly ALL his relationships with others were him being praised, which is shallow, repetitive, and rarely adds meaningful conflict. Clemont and the green kid exist to look up to him, Serena just loves Ash, Bonnie looks up to him (though likes her brother more), Alain talked about how happy Ash made him and how he wanted to be like him. The main group had bad chemistry because they revolved around Ash. There's getting recognition, and there's being surrounded by cheerleaders all the time.
>serena did literally fucking nothing for half of the showI'll say that she did more than people give her credit for, since she was trying out new things in the early episodes. Though it took a long time for her to reach her final goal, and she didn't do much in the show if it didn't involve Not-Contests, training her Pokemon for Not-Contests, or thinking about Ash.
