>>37899212Yes, twice. Once on normal and then recently on hard mode. I would have found it enjoyable as a game, but as it’s a Pokemon game it fell flat on its face. It’s funny because BW felt more like a Pokemon game than BW2 despite being 10x more terrible in every regard. Unova was cancer, absolutely soulless yet it tried not to be, it failed so badly. And before you say “you didn’t play it as a child so what do you know” I played it before I reached edgy teenage years and I was still heavily invested into Pokemon. Even as a idiot child I felt discomfort in the games, I hated the starters, the characters (especially the villain team), the preachy message, the entire region. Sinnoh has soul and beauty and it feels good to play through, unova is cold and blank and a pale imitation of that feeling. I would say Hoenn is the best region of them all but gen 4 was by far the best of them all. Perhaps if BW2 was my first Pokemon game I would care more for it, but it’s not.
