quite a few. one from 2017 namedropped sword and shield coming in 2019. let's go info showed up a couple months before it was announced, with an early build screencap of a lapras with player being around the same time.

there were earlier ones of course, but those just a couple of the middle-past ones.

It happens rather often, actually.
in fact, most of the gen 7 leaks originated from here.
Its just that there's so many fake leaks also posted that even if every single legit gen 7 leak came from here, the "leaks" posted would still only be real 5% of the time, tops.

The funny thing is I actually do know some things about the game that haven't been released publicly yet because I am involved in the marketing campaign.

I'm not ever going to leak any stuff because I am a fucking adult and like my job. You might get a few leaks when the play testing is in full swing, because play testers are notoriously leaky and sometimes value their 5 minutes of fame over the chance to play games before anyone else (play testing isn't as fun as it sounds, because you're trying to break the game rather than complete it and you can end up having to do the same small part of it loads of times with 1 tiny variation). By that point though we will have released all the important things to the public like most of the new pokemon, the big surprises (more than 1) at e3 the meaning behind the region name and how that links with one of the E3 surprises, etc, etc. So all you'll get from playtester leaks are a few screenshots about a month or 2 before you get to play it.

This is not a leak. Besides it is hardly hidden because it is in a language taught to about 3 million people in British Schools (more if you include similar languages like Irish/Scots Gaelic and Cornish).

There are less than about 25 people in Europe who know the stuff that I do (other than the obvious one about the region name and the starter theme which aren't leaks, people just easily figured it out) so if it got out that people were talking about things by specific names like Miasma type pokemon or some such shit, obviously there is a really small pool of suspects easy to whittle down and find out who leaked it. Last gen there were a few bits of fake info each smaller team was given and we only got the call about what not to release a few days prior to sending it to the press so if a bit of fake info was in a leak they could find a mole easily. They are quite clever but I am not aware to them going as far as spyware.

I don't wanna say too much but I know that in the game you'll be able to go to a "dark world" style version of the region with some different old and new Pokemon and different types of trainers. I'm not a leaker but I guess just come back to this post later whenever it's revealed.

There will be a few surprises left but nothing that will make people more or less likely to buy the game. It is above my pay grade so don't know if he is in or not but if Looker were in the game this probably wouldn't be revealed as it would just be a fun Easter egg. Also, I have not been told what will be in the DLC a year or so after the initial release so I very much doubt that will be covered at all.

Yeah, guessing that the region would be based on Britain, and thus calling the games thematically fittingly Sword and Shield isn't that unlikely. I consider it far from confirmed at this point, but it is certainly worth keeping an eye on.

trick seems to be to throw some garbage in with it so you don't get fined a billion dollars for breaching nondisclosure since the info is known by so few.

the trick for us is to figure out what is real. things I've picked up: if it's starter stuff before the anime is coming, probably not real. cover legends are trickier, need to know about the region more. if a random ass pokemon footage comes that's relatively smoothly animated and isn't pandering, it very well should stay on your radar.

those are the only reasons I'm willing to believe peabug, for what it's worth.
