>>37908281Just because he's shown standing doesn't mean that's the "point" of the design. He can stand OR levitate as shown in Amie/Refresh. But in battle there's no reason for it not to be levitating at all times. There's no downside. Same reason a lot of winged Pokemon are shown to be flying at all times, in a battle there would be no reason not to fly around. It gives you a massive tactical advantage. The only problem is visual, it looks silly because the Pokemon are standing still and facing each other rather than moving around the arena as they battle, which is what is logically happening during a battle, we just aren't shown it.
