nobody used them because they are irrelevant and not even aeasthetic
only praise in the game is being able to shoot ice beam before most of grass mons but that's all, carracosta is shit too but at least being a fossil it's easy to encounter at some part of the game

this thing is really hard to use in-game. i beat the e4 with it but it was a struggle. i think it ended up just being toxic + protect + substitute + swagger + rocky helmet. it's stats are rough.

it's also grinding, safari comes underlevelled for that part of the game, however doduo still manages to be a killing machine because of the stats and easy movepool and game freak pushing the first stage shitmons being unevolved even in their 40-50 levels and this shit was present even in those shitty unova games, with a medium fast growth rate it's basically free grinding considering teams are kept with like max 3 level difference between the lowest and highest level

I somehow managed to like all Unova water mons and I've used all of them in seperate runs, I also always chose Samurott and never boxed it.

I ended up using Komala in a nuzlocke. It was mostly mediocre, but shined against Ghost mons and ended up surviving the run. I think it survived entirely BECAUSE I barely used it in major battles, but still. Powerful as shit but really frail.

Most Pokemon have been used at least a few times by someone. >>37908553 is one of the few Unova mons I've not used. I tend to use Samurott or Jellicent in Unova.

Parasect. It is extremely weak to literally everything. In rby however, Leech Life (on high levels) actually make short work of psychic types. Spore is obviously an essential move.
Dig takes care of fire types.
Slash is okay for everything else but its not gonna do much. I find Giga Drain to be much better.

Yanma. It has no moves. None. In gsc, it is required that you baby it all the way through. It gets Supersonic which only works 1/3 of the time. It gets pursuit which does jack shit. Quick Attack which has no stab. Sonicboom which is a dumb move.
Detect is good but it'll only delay the inevitable. Hidden Power is the only good thing it learns.

So here's what you do. Give Attract, Toxic, Detect and Double Team.
Use Yanmas speed to your advantage and setup Attract and/or Toxic. Double Team is extremely good, so use that every other turn after. Otherwise, use Detect for chip damage from Toxic. If they switch out your evasion is up. If the try attacking they'll have a hard time with Detect and evasion. Its not perfect, but if you want to use Yanma in GSC then you HAVE to stall. Otherwise you will be ohko by everything and will do no damage yourself.
Thank fuck Yanmega exists.

I used this in... XY I think? Love the design but I think it's a physical attacker which learns a lot of special attacks? Or the other way around. Lotta Gen 5 Pokemon seemed to have that problem.
