I hate Johto. I hate gen 2. I've never been able to finish a playthrough. Is Storm Silver a good enough rom hack that I'll be able to play through it and enjoy it, will it even possibly make Johto my favorite region?

redpill me on Storm Silver. Does it fix the many issues with Soul Silver?

It fixes a lot of issues with johto.
For one, it removes the ability to do Chuck, Jasmine, or Pryce in any order, enforcing a Chuck -> Jasmine -> Pryce order, allowing for a better level curve
To further help the level curve, they added a minor story section to the Safari Zone
Finally, as with all his hacks, they buffed some pokemon and made the game overall more difficult and varied.
If you hated gen 2, if you hate Johto, but you at least thought HGSS was an improvement over GSC, you'll love Storm Silver.
