>>37918080If it's a sleek Fire/Steel, it has a chance of being my starter pick for the Gen. We need Fire/Steel just as badly as Fire/Electric (both are currently unique combos - and both haven't been seen since Gen IV), it's less overdone in fan works, and a fast Steel-type is a more interesting niche than a fast Electric-type.
To be honest, I hate the eyes and legs of the basic Scorbunny.
> The eyes are too small (Pokémon eyes are always exaggerated, especially for basic stages - they're either bigger than this or straight-up dot eyes) and too far apart (YES, it makes biological sense for a prey animal like Scorbunny to have eyes that are further apart and can see to the sides - but this is Pokémon and just about any design with anything resembling a complete face puts them closer together for the sake of anthropomorphism, and it's far too late to go back on that now for the sake of biological sense).> The legs just look like those of a 60s cartoon character. To be fair, they follow the precedent of Meowth, but admittedly Meowth isn't my favorite either so that's not any more reason for me to like it.... But both of those are obviously things that will be different (for better or worse) in the final stage, so it's hardly worth worrying about now. Scorbunny's evolutions still have a chance even if its current stage isn't my favorite. All three starters do, really - I can't honestly predict with certainty where the three lines will end up going, so compared to past Gens where my first choice stayed solid from the first reveal, I could see any of them being my pick at this point.
