Pokemon platinum is the peak of the series. I think if they tried to remake it, it wouldn't live up to my expectations.
I don't even want a graphical overhaul because the 3d will look like shit in a decade, whilst the sprite work of the original is still great now.
The soundtrack is amazing and deserves remastering, and there are some quality of life changes from the later games i'd love for them to add to it, as well as adding all the newer mons excluding megas but honestly platinum is still very playable.
I love the vibe of sinnoh and with some better distribution of pokemon, a higher difficulty curve and some polish, a remaster could be amazing.
Shame it won't be like that.
