It'd be cute no matter what, so I'd want a new one to focus on being functional. The biggest issue plaguing all o them is their shallow ass movepools, so I think the new type should be one that doesn't need much in the way of coverage. Ghost or flying, not necessarily pic related

Honestly I would prefer it to introduce a new counterpart to 'Eevee' with 'physical' based branched evolutions, starting with three like Eevee did. Rock, Flying, and Fighting or Steel, Ghost, and Poison would be nice trios to start with.

Steel seems like a no-brainer considering the Sword and Shield motif. That any more pure-steel types is always a good thing.

Amen. Steel has been dear to my heart ever since I discovered Aggron. I don't really use Eevee often, but I might if there was an Allyon, or an Ironeon, or Ferreon.
