>>37928658>>37928631I've thought about this for a while, Team Flare is without a doubt the worst antagonists(altho desu all except Rocket, Plasma, and Skull(who are comic relief gag antagonists) aren't good), but there's like 2 whole lines in their entire existence that are somewhat good ideas. Team Plasma were deconstructions of pokemon and actually had something of a point, all team Flare has is:
-Lysandre wants to rid the world of pokemon because they are weapons of mass destruction(honestly this would have been justifiable if it was just LEGENDARY pokemon, given every game's plot)
-The holo clip has been stealing information and being used to gather info to plot for Team Flare
For an actual rewrite, I'd do
>Lysandre actually acts like a normal human being>Team Flare and Lysandre Labs not obviously connected, with LL being like Sylph Co and established early on as being a giant production company, like when the player gets their holo clip-Lysandre's motivation is one that actually makes sense(he wants to destroy legendary pokemon because they are weapons of mass destruction that could destroy society if fallen into the wrong hands, calling back to the Hoenn Sinnoh and Unova stories, and the legend about the ultimate weapon that almost destroyed the world being powered by a legendary
-Trim all of the stupid admins to 1, maybe 2 admin characters, give them actual character and teams(maybe some foreshadowing about Malva, or giving Diantha/the Gym leaders literally anything)
-Have Team Flare be the sort of organized crime that Lysandre controls in the shadows, with the grunts not really being initiated on his full plan but getting paid to do the dirty work, only the admins know whats going on and support his cause
-Make it a plot point that this is a huge scandal for Lysandre Labs that they've been stealing information that's been used to aid team flares attacks, being like team flare knows exactly when and where to strike
-Give him a Malamar/Bisharp
