Nearly everything else in OU, if you see it in preview, you know exactly what it is doing, plus or minus a coverage option, because there is only one thing it CAN do.
Honest pokemon don't need gimmicks to be good, and current OU is a meta made out of gimmicks.
Garchomp, and perhaps ironically Lando-T are basically the only honest pokemon left in the tier.
