I was honestly afraid that Origins would lead into the HGSS addition to that ending since it was an already an XY tie-in, so I Giovanni having a "Where did I go wrong?" moment was a nice surprise. And most of that was just Origins giving more dialogue to what games did more abruptly ("Team Rocket is finished forever!") or presumed ("You are a bad guy and I will remind you!"), only better for establishing the Giovanni was one of the few characters to actually challenge Red. Versus all of use who wondered why we scaled an 11 floor building to battle a deadly scratching Nidoqueen.

I really wish they had made a full season, instead of trying to compact the whole story into 4 episodes. I would've loved an anime like this that actually followed the stories of the games, and did a different generation each season. Would've been amazing.
