What are your hopes for sky trainers if they are included in Galar? What needs to fixed about sky battles so that they'll be enjoyable instead of frustrating? Share your thoughts.

Some kind of special reward or story system that encourages you to seek out and defeat all of the sky trainers across the region. Repeated battles could be nice too.

Just allow every pokemon, y can a goldeen fight on land, a charizard can fight under water and a zigzagoon can't fight in sky?

Sounds pretty good. Keeps the challenge while making it rewarding. Maybe a master-class sky trainer title for accessing a tougher league of its own.

Sky Battles were a dumb gimmick that added nothing. I'd rather see rotation battles come back because there's at least potential for something interesting there.

If there is an increase of flying-types in Galar, then there's a good chance sky trainers will be back. The restriction rule should be removed or at least allow for more mons that don't necessarily have to by flyers or levitaters.

I'm going on the assumption that they were either a test to see what 3d battles without a solid floor would be like or they ran into a bug during development that removed the floor that they thought was cool so they fixed ut up andp turned it into a battle style

I'm pretty certain sky battles was an intentional concept, but like a lot of other things in XY, it got rushed to forget about adding replayability or completion prizes.

Oh they were intentional. If they weren't, 90% of all Flying types wouldn't be stuck in perma-flight for their battle animations.

I hope they're dead and never come back.

Sky battles are the reason so many flying Pokemon are stuck with these lazy awkward floaty animations.
