To summarize:
1.) designed as a quadruped
2.) works as a quadruped
3.) has origin from a biped, but was worked into said quadruped design
4.) original appearance was as a quadruped
vs.
1.) appeared in secondary material as a biped
2.) to ease animation,
3.) for a gag (in said secondary material),
4.) and to make a reference to a gen 1 Pokémon
