Why you people hate rumors so much? The entire pokemon franchise grew thanks to rumors spread via coro coro in japan, before the rumors about the mysterious 151° pokemon started circulating in japan ( yes, mew was a secret back then, even to some people who worked in the game), pokemon wasn't really that popular in japan. Fans speculating is part of gamefreak marketing.
