What is it about Sword and Shield that seems to have created such amazing hype/meme potential?

The absurd amount of fanart/porn already out, all the shitposts related to Scottish Female Trainer, and all the funny game title/UK parodies. To me it kinda feels like I'm reliving the hype of Diamond/Pearl, or Soul Silver/Heart Gold all over again.
