>>37945748Gen 6 just felt like taking several steps back in nearly every aspect. I feel the golden era of pokemon begun with Emerald. Emerald was a great game, DP were ok games, Platinum was a great game better than Emerald, HGSS was a game that was just as good or even better depending on who you ask, BW was a great game that takes credits for trying to focus on something sightly different than usual. BW2 was a great game, maybe even better than Platinum and HGSS.
Got my hands on Gen 6 and it felt like they had forgotten what made everyone of those games special on top of being visually, musically bland.
By the time XY rolled I spected the culmination of all those efforts perfectly come together and instead I got them undo because apparently Game Freak is unable to balance game design wise, just half ass everything. Half ass the main campaing, half ass the map design, half ass the league and it's trainers, half ass the story and characters, half ass the side content and post game. They even half assed the visuals and music. All the experimentation with sfx, musica styles, instruments and voice synthetizer that I loved from DS era even tho they have a more powerful device now were gone.
