they used to be the sole counter to dragon but now with the mich better fairy typing that's all gone. in yet its utility as dragon's counter was the reason why it was sort of shit. there's no reason not to use fairy type instead.

ice type should be a considerable late-game typing, like dragon or steel type
it should evoke respect the same as power
instead it's a shitty laughing stock

Ice is lost potential a lot fot he time. yeah it's ice and snow, but it's so much more than that. it's cold temperature, or literally the fucking void. frigidness is the lack of energy or heat
Kyurem is literally the absence of yin and yang, hence his ice typing
in yet that's the most Game Freak has ever played with the concept

I remember when I was 10 playing RED and could not understand why my fucking ice beam was infective against water type, then why is ice super effective against ground but not rock even tho ice literally split rocks irl, ice just doesn't make sense

Ice should be immune to water and super effective against it
also fighting should not be super effective

They made Ice shitty because it was the counter to Dragon, which was meant to be its niche. Except Fairy rapes Dragon and also doesn't suck, so Ice should get defensive buffs. It should resist Rock and Water.
