Yes, all of the Ranger games give you a Manaphy egg as a reward for beating them that you can then transfer to a gen 4 game. My Pokemon Ranch on the Wii also gives you a Mew for filling up the ranch with Pokemon, and Colosseum came with a special disk that gave you Jirachi. I wish more spin-offs had bonuses like that.

I'm glad they're making more pokemon readily available, like how Celebi can be obtained through VC Crystal and Deoxys can be obtained in ORAS. We won't talk about fucking $50 Mew though.

No, they had a distribution on the old games way back. I believe XY. They did the same for mew, celebi, and jirachi too. Get yourself a powersave and you can give yourself all the legit giveaway mons.

Did anyone manage to get it to work on gen4? I know it works on bw2 did it myself but gen4 looks difficult seeing the instructions in the article

Oh definitely, I never liked mythicals as a concept and I much prefer just having them actually be available in game like any other Pokemon. I still prefer the spinoff system to other events, though.

IIRC only the first one didn't need a distro, you beat the game and input a code to unlock the ranger net to play the missions
2 and 3 needed to download a special mission during a limited time

Dunno if they are distributing them on Altwfc like >>37949113

It really did feel rewarding to get access to a mythical or unobtainable pokemon in a spinoff that you could take to the main games, like Ho-oh in Colosseum since I was never able to go to Navel Rock

All of the missions for both ranger 2 and 3 were available for the entire lifespan of the nintendo WFC ever since game release. So if you bought any of those games, you had a solid 5 years to get the missions.

I just checked and you're right. I might be confused with some of the "extra missions" that were available for years, but I really thought they were available ever since release.
I got all of the missions in both of my physical ranger games, anyway, despite not really keeping up with the news back then.
