So is Legpee considered Gen 7 or 8? Since it's on the switch, it feels like gen 8, but I don't know

Depends on which arbitrary standards of a "generation" you follow. Maybe it can't be a new generation because it came out before a new region, but it also can't communicate with other games in its supposed generation.

Hardware doesn't make it a new generation

If that were the case, then RBY and GSC would be Gen 1, RSE would be Gen 2, DP and BW would be Gen 3, XY, ORAS, SM, and USUM would be Gen 4, and LGPE and SS would be Gen 5

I consider It gen1 of a new but separate main title series. If theres a lets go yotho, Is gonna be gen2.
I think its pointless to consider It a Gen8 or 7 title only because they said Its a core game, Its just confusionary.
