Trailer showcases the two box legendaries, which are actually 1 wolf pokemon called Geltfang, wearing the armor of either Team Shield, or Team Armor, depending on your version of the game. This is no "armored evolution", just 2 alternative forms for a legendary, granting it stats modifications and a new ability. The abilities are Turbo-like abilities, increasing either Atk/SpeAtk (Sword armor), or Def/SpeDef (Shield mode) each turn.
Team Shield or Team Armor are fighting for the throne of Galar, trying to take control of Geltfang.
At the very end of the trailer you can see the player character get off a train, at a station which looks very much like Couriway Town from Kalos.
