I dont understand why they didnt do more with Colress. Ghetsis wasn't even a deep or meaningful antagonist, he shouldve taken the lead at the end Dimentio style but GF didnt do shit with him.

Seriously, OP, there's no point in caring about anything in this franchise that didn't originate in Kanto because Gamefreak will literally never care about it.

Colress was never evil; in BW2, he says himself that he's really only using Plasma for their resources, and doesn't share any of their ideologies of goals. He really only cares about his own research. Ghetsis absolutely should have been the true final boss of Rainbow Rocket, though, on that I will agree. However, expecting GameFreak to let anything but Gen Wun truly have the spotlight is silly - they've been very clear on that.

Colress is my favorite protagonist in the series so far. He sides with the villain team, still does not a single wrong thing and even in all that somehow manages to stay out of the Mary Sue territory.
It's stupid to see what the cartoon did to him though.
