The removal of some noteworthy dungeons. And dumbing down of a lot of areas, like, remember how you'd run along patches of grass everywhere by Mt. Chimney to collect ash? Now you collect it by walking into designated piles. There's plenty more examples.
Also, it's retardedly easy. For example, Norman's Slaking was a force to be reckoned with in the originals. Now it can be dealt with in, like, four turns.
Oh, and constant handholding is always fun, right? You like Brendan and May, right? Well, now they're what would become Hau; always interrupting you, healing you and forcing extra tutorials upon you that weren't in the original. Oh, and they teleport you, giving a big "fuck you" to the region design.
You liked how X and Y gave you free Pokémon, right? Have a free Latios/Latias.
The graphics are total garbage. It looks like somebody made a romhack of X and Y. The world is still based on a grid despite being a 3D game, so even though it has analog controls, it awkwardly snaps you to a square. And unlike X and Y with its bountiful cutscenes, most action sequences are shown with those hideous chibi models sliding about. Also, transition sequences.
The only thing I can give this thing praise for is the somewhat better writing for Team Magma and Aqua, Wally's character development, among others. Though, some characters are absolutely insufferable here, like Courtney or Zinnia.
Oh, speaking of Zinnia. The Delta Episode was, I guess, supposed to make up for the lack of Emerald content. Long story short- It didn't.
Wasn't GF's reason for ORAS being like it is because kids these days don't have a long attention span because of phones or some shit? Either way, ORAS is an awful remake, especially after comparing it to HGSS.
