This old woman just told you about having lost the love of her life and his - now her - Machamp being traumatized for surviving the accident that killed him and all you're left to imagine in the end is your character just grabbing the TM from her and running around right excited about him being dead so he didn't need the TM.
For fuck sake Game Freak. It's like they're literally incapable of doing something 100% correctly.
