Pokémon Crystal Clear is a modern-day masterpiece, a revelation. Stood next to it, the celebrated pillars of this community seem diminutive. Gaia, Insurgence, Reborn, Uranium, Prism. All of them, mere specks to the supernova that burns so brightly. Innovative, creative, nostalgic, hilarious, enjoyable. Just some of the words that can attempt to describe its majesty. Perfection.

Flying anywhere from the start ruins it for me. If he wanted to give freedom at the start then just make a menu where you can pick your starting town instead, that'd be perfect.
Removing the story almost entirely wouldn't be bad at all if it introduced many different side quests in its place, but it mostly doesn't so the world feels devoid of things to do outside badge hunting.
Leaving wild Pokemon unscaled creates balance issues of many different kinds.

It's an impressive effort, but these things are serious issues.

Bro it’s literally one of the top 3 ROM hacks ever made period. The beta went up to gym 6 years ago and no progress was made til now, which explains the hype.

Not super difficult at all. Very enjoyable story and dialogues. QoL improvements out the ass. There’s honestly no comparing this hack to anything else. Shockslayer is a bloody amazing hacker and it shows in this hack. You could give this game to anyone you know and easily convince them it’s a Nintendo made game.

And also post any mild criticism on the discord and the tranny mods will ban you on sight. The rules literally admit the place is a hugbox where no negativity is allowed.
That has nothing to do with the hack itself but it leaves me with such a bad taste in my mouth that I can't help but feel like it taints the game as a whole.

It is a huge shame about the glaring flaws. The worst thing imo is that you can only start at Pallet or at New Bark, so the only way to get badges out of order is if you scurry past the first few towns like an idiot and instead start your playthrough in the central city.
