>>37988202I think the difference is that May and Misty had totally different personalities. May was ultimately a very nice girl and you could tell that Ash and May's moments of bickering were just that, moments. We know their main relationship is friendly.
In comparison, Misty was a giant tomboy and it looked like she and Ash were out to get each other's goat practically every other week. Misty gets introduced into the series slapping the shit out of Ash and screaming about her bike. That's literally the basis of their relationship. That's what made the moments they got along so great.
