It was so unbearable awful that I never finished the game. It was a constant, and I mean CONSTANT roadblock to enjoyment. It consistently frustrated me along every single inch of the road. Struggling to get into buildings, skimming tall grass accidentally, and things like that ruined the entire experience. This feature alone is enough to make these the worst pokemon games ever made even without considering anything else in this game.

God, the skates were cancer. I spent the entire game holding the dowsing sticks because it's the only way you can fucking walk normally with the circle pad. The MC looks like such an idiot running around with those damn sticks everywhere but it's the only way to play.

And the D-pad sucks, period. My hands are slim yet I'm still uncomfortable using it. And I just want to go in all directions anyway, not just the 8 you can get from D-pad (or was it 4 in XY? I forgot.).
