Puzzle- Series of rooms where Trainers have a specific strat involving held items. Similar to the Petalburg gym, but instead of using stat-boosting items on their mons, these Trainers would have items like Flame Orbs and Focus Sashes on their mons.

Team- Raticate (Guts w/ Flame Orb; Facade/U-Turn/Protect/Sucker Punch), Furret (Keen Eye w/ Toxic Orb; Trick/Coil/Return/Baton Pass), Cinccino (ace)(Skill Link w/ Expert Belt; Tail Slap/Rock Blast/Bullet Seed/U-Turn), Lopunny (Klutz w/ Ring Target; Switcheroo/Return/HJK/Ice Punch)

It is the last gym and it requires a trial to be passed before challenging the gym.

1. You must pass a knowledge of history, mostly regional history, things learned from the journey.

2. The choice of three paths, two paths lead to trainers (one has an inscription*) and a warp tile and one leads to me.

3. I will ask you a question about the paths you took, one path has an inscription on the wall, you have to tell me what it said and what it means. *"From the past comes the road to greater understanding"

Once you told me its meaning I will start the gym battle.

can be battled at anytime so can be 3rd to last gym leader

Puzzle is based on type match ups, but utilizes dual types. guess right and fight one trainer, guess wrong and fight two.

Tempest Badge

Actually gives waterfall HM which will let you reach E4, but can also be used to open up a few gyms earlier.

This is the team if fought last. Swana is the signature mon.

Rematch would add mega sharpedo. maybe mega empoleon if GF wasn't such pussies.

The Gym has sets designed to look like you're walking through a storybook. It's a three-act story with three sets, and your goal is to get onto the next "chapter" and see that set.

First act: you're in your hometown, a friendly farming village, when everyone around you has suddenly become hopeless and mean. You're tasked with finding which of the villagers (Gym Trainers) is a spy for the villain. You can battle everyone, but you can only advance by defeating the spy. The spy isn't a person, but someone pretending to be a Mareep on a farm.

Second set: travel through a scary forest on the way to the villain's lair. Use stealth to the evil minion trainers, or just defeat them. The best paths to take will have clues; when you come to a fork in the road, a(n Azu)marill's tail will stick out from a bush on the right side.

Third act: you've entered the villain's castle and reached the throne room. A kindly old man appears and thanks you for saving him, then asks you to leave the castle with him. If you refuse, he'll take off his disguise and reveal himself to be the villain (Gym Leader.) Since he couldn't trick you, he's going to beat you.

Defeating the villain means that you have stopped his evil reign, and hope and happiness will fill everyone's hearts again.

The Gym's floor is full of different wire paths that each lead to different Trainers in front of a switch. You have to pick the correct wire path based on clues to open the door to the next room. After 2 more rooms with similar puzzles, you reach the Gym Leader.

The gym is entirely outdoors. All the trainers in there are hikers who cheer you on the trail. Random encounters with wild ground-type pokemon in grass. At the end there are also a few picnic tables and free snacks. You can get back to town from there easily via a big zipline.
