>>37994034As one who is fucking tired about shillmons, I have to say the Pokémon reps is perfect, besides Incineroar. And besides Pichu but it was a mistake fixed in next games so I don't care.
Yes, the last newcomers were furries or anthro and don't make justice about what is Pokémon and this diverse world, but they are starters or pseudo-mascots (shillmons) like Mewtwo and Lucario. Jigglypuff is a veteran based on the anime, I doubt it will go someday. Also it isn't anthro in a group of anthro reps, so can stay for me.
As I said, I would prefer no new Pokémon character over Incineroar. Nothing against Incineroar except it's another anthro Pokémon. Primarina would be a better choice because its body shape (we haven't a fish-like fighter), but we have Greninja as water starter so this would be a bit boring too. Silvally is another good choice, but wasn't treated as shillmon by TPC so wasn't totally valid either. Better choice: no new Pokémon rep and use the slot to represent another franchise.
The roster that needs desperately a fix is Pokkén. Pokkén has the same problem as Smash but worse because it's a Pokémon game. Two Pikachus is boring. Two Mewtwo with the same Mega is awful. That bunch of anthros is ridiculous. Two non-anthro species, three if you count DLC. Objectmons are just ghost-type because of "possesed objects must be Ghost-type" autism. No rock type. No normal type. And even if they were represented, I bet they would be anthro or dragon-looking species, because of the stupid "non-anthropomorphic designs cannot fight" reasoning.
For me, this roster would be perfect like this:
> Pikachu > Charizard> Machamp> Gengar> Mewtwo> Suicune> Sceptile> Gardevoir> Staraptor (new)> Lucario> Garchomp> Weavile> Probopass (new)> Darkrai> Scolipede (new)> Archeops (new)> Chandelure> Volcarona (new)> Aegislash> Primarina (new)> Silvally (new)
