>>38001117 (OP)Lavendar Town to Fuschia City is way too long and is just trainer battles with no breaks. I always take the bike trail first and then come back to those routes to farm experience. It really needed a small hub or grotto with exclusive Pokemon to break up the pace.
You should not be able to go from Pallet to Cinnabar directly after getting Surf. Returning home after such a long journey should be a monumental point and its cheapened by it.
Zapdos in the Power Plant is one of the best things about the region since you need to explore to find it. Meanwhile Articuno and Moltres are conveniently placed in paths you were travelling anyway. They should have been hidden away better.
Other than that, I love this region.
