My hope is for another Team Rocket or Team Skull. A team that isn't after changing the world and just wants to do stuff for themselves or for a profit/cause trouble. The games do better without big world ending stories. GF can never pull those off and they just aren't believable for a 10-15 y/o to solve virtually single-handedly whereas kicking the asses of a bunch of thugs with your trained pokemon is much more achievable. That and I enjoy pokemon games more when they let themselves have fun with it and then add on the serious pieces intermittently. Give me a team out to steal money and pokemon over a world-ending legendary crisis brought on by a sociopath any day. Pokemon only suffers when they take their plot too seriously. The only time this was done okay was gen 3 because both teams were laughable idiots but it felt intentional

If the theories about Galar being the region thag went to war with Kalos 3 millennia ago end up being true, I'd like the evil team to be connected to that. Say, they want to bring Galar back to its "militaristic glory" or something.
Branching out into another idea, I'd like to have two villains, one tertiary and one the main/final antagonist.

The end result would be the same, but the narrative would be different; it would be "pokemon don't deserve humans" instead of the other way around. They'd basically be the Magma to Plasma's Aqua.

The evil team force pokemon beyond their strength. They will enhance their pokemon with poweful equipments that will boost their stats, every pokemon they use will start increasing their stats, early on the pokemon gets 1 stat increased and then later 2 and 3 stats increased, that can also the same stat twice. They will use any pokemon in the dex.

My idea for the game was your friendly rival, maybe even yourself, is a fan of the Happytown Good Guys.
The evil organization would be the rival soccer team the Bitterburg Cheaters and their fans. You would encounter them at various points and stop whatever cartoony sabotage methods they would be using.

Team skull hit the sweet spot for an enemy team. Teams like Agua/Magma, Galactic, Flare often fall on their faces because GF's lazy writting can't develop them well enough and they end up feling like autists that want to destroy the world for the sake of it.
