Same, probably. I was pissed that they brought the practice back with USUM, and then I was pissed at how little USUM changed.
I already didn't buy LGPE though, and if there's nothing to indicate Gen VIII is an improvement I probably just won't buy it

If GF doesn't make SnS worth the extra $20 game price and paid online AND Switch price, I'm done with them. All they need to do is have the sense to push a game back 1 year for polishing/necessary additions. If the dev time on this game is ORAS level, there's no hope.

When they stop making new games. I'm drawn to the adventure and team-building aspects. As long as I can pick and choose my team and go on an adventure with them Pokemon will never not appeal to me. All the other shit has no meaning to me. Even postgame has lost its value as I've expanded the amount and kinds of games I play. I no longer feel the need to get hundreds of hours out of a Pokemon game like I did when I was a child who played Pokemon almost exclusively.

Heck this gen they were literally so slow that gyms weren't even in the game, what could happen next? No postgame? No Pokémon League?
Plus I always felt like that dating belonged to fangames/mods, or at least should be a low priority feature in any game (unless the game revolves around this of course)

Pokemon colosseum and Gale of darkness were when this franchise peaked, we had a lot of great sidegames and the fucking battle frontier, so gen 4 (except hgss and some side games), 5, 6, and so on where just a deception for me, i got back to pokemon to play SM/USUM and i got really disappointed. Its the same fucking game time after time with "better" graphics and some quality of life things and 1time mechanics, but thats it, also, even if usum and lgpe (and now SWSH) look better than past games, compared to other franchises, look like ps2 games, swsh being ps3 tier at best, i hope.

I could lie and say pending sword and shield but the truth is now that I already have a switch I’ll probably play whatever garbage they put on it though likely for minimal time, like I haven’t picked up LGBT since beating E4. However next console purchase is increasingly unlikely

Real-time combat and not making new pokemon anymore would do it. The battle system, team building, and collection aspect are why I play. I'd probably try out a real-time game but I doubt I'd like it enough to stick around if they made it standard.

If SwSh still got:
-Kanto pandering
-Spoiler Marketing
-Worsened/removed mechanics and innovations from rpevious games
-Lazy/rushed development and are actually betas sold at full price
All of this happened with the last games. If SwSh disappoints me by following this direction, I'm done with Pokémon.

Surprised I haven't seen this here, but the second they do away with transferring Pokemon over to the next games, I'm done with the franchise. It's realistically the only thing Pokemon has over other similar games in my opinion.
