Regarding new armoured forms in Gen 8:

- They're not called armoured forms but the actual name is a plot spoiler for the new games
- Mostly given to Pokémon with a single type (however there are a few exceptions).
- Most armoured forms gain the additional Steel typing, a slight increase in Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def and a slight decrease in Speed (again there are a few exceptions to this rule).
- Pokémon with armoured forms include; Charizard, Pikachu, Mewtwo, the final stage Johto Starters, Granbull and Flygon to name a few.
- Pokémon with Flying as their secondary type will swap it for Steel upon form change.
- Pokémon with Levitate as their ability will swap it for Steelworker upon form change.
- There are two new Steel moves exclusive to armoured forms. These can be learned upon form change (similar to the Rotom Aplliances).
- A new Key Item will be introduced to implement armoured forms. It allows for the change between armoured and regular forms.
- You can only have one armoured Pokémon at a time.
