So, I'm an artist and I would like to draw some starters art but I'm tired of seeing shit like this about them and how fans portrait them.
Is this the first time this happens in the Pokémon fandom?

Not to be raciest but Grookey is either drawn as a nazi or a poc, why? And why not the Chimchar line, Primape line or Ambipom line? That is odd to me.

I included an image that I found on here, I believe it was deemed fakemon. But maybe useful to you for some references.

Grookey has a lot of brown tones. What other skin color could one give it? Green? Scorbunny's nearly entirely white, so pale skin is the only option. Sobble can be just about any skin tone because nothing fits too well with its natural color scheme, although whitish would still probably fit the best with light blue.

There's also the very real racist trope of equating/comparing colored people and monkeys so it's pretty dumb to do that anyway, but I guess most people just don't think about what they do for longer than it takes to conceive the idea and if they do and still draw Grookey gijinkas (why the fuck anyone would do that is beyond me still) as poc their intention likely is provocation so being called out for it is to be expected.

It's fuckin art, no need to take "le closest match to some secondary color on it" when making skin colors.

Sobble has a lot of light blue, which is much closer to a lighter peach color than a dark brown. Dyed hair exists, but so does blue face-paint. Presumably, the goal of the gijinka artist here is to make a natural looking human that resembles the Pokémon the most, not jump through mental hoops to avoid offending someone.
