Guzma is my husbando and I'll always love him to death but he's objectively a shit character for that reason - the writers clearly try and make him sympathetic and worthy of redemption towards the end by implying he may have had a rough home life, but because we only ever see hints of it and never learn the actual circumstances he just comes off looking like an explosive, edgy asshole who nearly helped destroy the world for his surrogate mother.
