>the games basically tried doing an anime episode badly which lead to the anime screwing it upOn paper I thought I'd hate the school setting formula, but when it makes the show actually be more about Pokemon nine times out of ten again, instead of "here's the new city or character of the day" then the trade actually works out. Ash isn't traveling, (as often) but he's still training, and new things are still happening with all the characters. It isn't bad, just different.
>You've had those episodes in every series.That's true, but it has never been as strong as handled here I think. The Espurr episode in XY is probably the next strongest I can think of, back when XY anime was cool before Greninja singlehandedly derailed it.
