Geodude is brainless mode being strong against the first 3 gyms. Machop is weak to the first, then smoothish sailing. Gastly is, well idk, its movepool dependent and idk it by heart. Is abra even possible without a 50 hour grind to get kadabra?

Graveler doesn't even fall behind, in my experience. Its bad matchups (water and grass, first and foremost) are bad anyway and the good ones stay good right until Red.

With Fire Punch, Ice Punch, ThunderPunch and the best available Psychic-type move, it can basically OHKO everything that it hits super effectively, and outspeeds most things. The only real problem that comes to mind is Houndoom.

Machop can generally handle everything in Johto, you just won't get a Machamp and only Morty will be a real problem. Abra isn't good until Goldenrod. Geodude wears his welcome, and Gastly is only so good with Haunter sadly.

The point being that Elemental Punch Kadabra is great, possibly the best thing you can use in-game in GSC, but it's not going to solo the game.

My go-to team is Chikorita-Bayleef-Meganium, Geodude-Graveler, Spearow-Fearow, Abra-Kadabra, and Gyarados.

Yes it can solo the game. GSC is easy as fuck. You can solo the game with a ratatta if you want.

Kadabra in GSC is flat worse than Feraligatr( and Fearow). With an Alakazam trade at level 16 it is the best mon in the game quite easily, but it does in no way wipe the floor with Feraligatr.
