Hey anons,
Anyone regret what any nicknames they gave to any Pokemon?
I started leafgreen and named my starter after a girl I was interested in.
The next day, I knew she wasn't into me but was too polite to reject me.
I have to wait until Lavender town to rename it.
Every time I see the name, I get instant pain

I change how I nickname things often, so when I go back to old saves I cringe looking at the some of the names, especially eras when I gave Pokemon human names.

Not sure if I'm gonna regret this down the road but I just nicknamed my Lickitung "Taste Bud" and my Victreebel "Honey Bags". I'm planning on transferring them from Gale of Darkness to Fire Red and then restarting the game after I do so. If they're horrible, do you have any suggestions for cool nicknames before I transfer them and give up the chance to rename them?

It's ok, OP, I named a jigglypuff after my girlfriend at the time in X and Y because she bought me a jigglypuff shirt and said it was her favorite.

I had to release it so I'd stop being sad after we broke up. :(

When I was a child playing firered I was trying to catch a Pikachu but the only one I found was a female one. Being the autist that I was (and still am to a degree) I wanted to be like Ash and have a male one, but instead of just looking for another one I named it Pikachu (Male symbol) thinking that would change its gender.
