Why did people always complain about the Drapion boss in Almia? I just bumrushed him with fast af loops, when he started throwing puddles and smog I used 'mons that stunned him, and looped around the smog slowly. Only hit once, took me like 2-3 minutes.

Only played the first one, but I had a blast.
It also had the overworld system and being able to use any pkm outside of battle was a nice feature.

I don't even remember if it's possible, but I recall managing to bring a water type or some shit like that so I wouldn't have to deal with the bullshit that is dying to his body
The infinitely more bullshit mons to get I can remember would be Salamence and Entei, though Entei makes sense since he's the final boss though

I remember quite liking 2's upgrade system, makes me wonder why more games don't tie specific upgrades to sidequests like that. Closest example I can think of is Yakuza Kiwami's Majima Everywhere system.
