It doesnt. Its just strange to think about. Every single Pokemon ever made, no matter their stats or how they look, is at least one person's favorite. I mean honestly, you look at Burmy for instance. Pretty forgettable. And yet out there theres a guy who is all fucking about Burmy. All day every day. Pretty wild.

Burmy and Wormadam are cute, so it's not weird that they'd have fans.
I'd be surprised if Stakataka is somebody's favorite, though. It's an interesting design but doesn't really seem like favorite material.

I don't care for Mothim, Plant, or Sandy Wormadam, but Trash Wormadam is, not even joking, one of my top 5 Sinnoh favorites.
I mean, not one of my favorite Pokemon of all time, but I can't deny that I like it and don't try every once in a while to use it in a Platinum run.

Wormadam has a pretty unique (albeit useless due to low stats) gimmick, and I love its cry. It's a pretty cool poke I guess.
