What are things about Pokemon (designs, region, whatever) that /vp/ is delusional about? It can be something related to nostalgia if you want.

gen 3 added a shitty story which lead up to SM
gen 4 casualized the game with physical/special split
gen 5 casualized the game with infinite TMs and cartoon pokemon
gen 6 removed sprites for lifeless washed out animations
gen 7 is a visual novel that casualized the game by removing HMs

/vp/ as a collective just doesn't have any capacity for self awareness. Games like BW/BW2 try to be build a region and Pokémon roster from the ground up and you have people in the streets calling them trash, then when XY rolls around GF tries to glance back at the past you have people in the streets calling them trash. It's clear at this point that /vp/ is at Fire Emblem Fan levels of deprecation, and seeing any "fanbase" surpass that kind of weeb rage is laughably sad. At this point the only thing /vp/ is good for is the fun/kino threads. At least that's why I'm here still.
